Safe in Atlanta!

Team Peru made it to Atlanta safe and sound and are currently settling in at the hotel for the night.  We have our largest debrief ever this weekend with over 200 Ambassador (high school) and Passport (college) students arriving back home from 3-8 weeks on the field! Tonight we'll feast on pizza, worship, share stories fro the field, and prepare to head back home. We're enjoying our last night together and will send them all home to you in the morning!

We Made It!

We all made it back to Nauta in one piece, safe and sound!  Probably the majority of everyone's stories will come from these past 6 days; we had quite the adventure along the river. Florida, the first village we visited was absolutely beautiful, except for the mosquitoes. The Pastor and the all the children welcomed us and taught us a wonderful Spanish song–something along the lines of flying like an eagle and jumping like a lamb.  I don't know what it all translates out to but we had a great time singing it multiple times a day.  We spent most of the time...

Adios Nauta, Hola River Villages

We've had a great past few days of ministry!  We finished up our children's program and now there's about 40 Peruvian children that know to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power!  We taught them about the Armor of God, David & Goliath, and Joshua and the battle of Jericho.  Saturday night, Patty, Baileigh, and Adam shared their testimonies in the neighboring church and then we all had a chance to pray over the people in the church including the pastor and his family!  It was a wonderful expierience!  Rachel and Adam led worship for our team a...

4 Days Into Ministry!

We are four days into ministry and having a blast! Yesterday was the first day of our kids program, and it was wonderful! From all the boys hanging on Adam to Robin teaching on the armor of God, it was a sight to behold. Thursday was Rachels birthday and she got to experience a real Peruvian birthday by having a raw egg cracked on her head, and we also had a delicious cake. This morning we were led to go visit a woman named Pati. She said she is very unhappy because she is treated poorly in her home by her childs father. Day 1 and Super Excited!

We finally made it Peru!! We arrived yesterday in Iquitos around 1230pm. The students were very tired after the long night of travel, but once we got on the bus to get to Nauta (which took about an hour and a half), their excitment could not be contained! Travis and I had a conversation with Crystal (our ministry contact)and this week we are doing house visits and childrens programs, and next thursday we are going down the river and ministering to 3 different villages!! Peru Update!

Just talked to both Travis and Robin, the leaders of Team Peru and they had some awesome and exciting news: The team has arrived in Peru and falling in love with the location already! Travis said the view is incredible; jungle forest!  The team is super excited about starting ministry tomorrow, after resting and unpacking today!
